A Spotify Playlist for Your Heart's Journey
Music is one of those things that has locked in certain memories that I will never forget. For better or worse. Ha! Lately, I have been struggling to figure out something to share with everyone while I am running around trying to figure out and do life. Tonight (while I am writing this), I thought to myself, "why not share a piece of my heart through song?" Sometimes the words are hard to find, even for me. Most of the time I feel like my words are empty, but music? They hit the nail on the head and call out the raw, good stuff like it is. Sharing a Spotify playlist for your heart's journey seemed the best solution.
I thought I would share a quick thought on each song. I've also linked the artist names to their personal websites if you wish to see more from them. I'd love to know which song(s) you enjoyed and what you thought. I love good music, but I also love a good heart song for the journey. I'd also like to know what songs have touched your heart in a special way too! I am all about finding new artists and knowing what you guys like.

This acoustic version has me reliving the newness of the original. I first listened to this after finishing Braving the Wilderness by Brene Brown. It was like he had read her manuscript before going to print! At a time in my life where I needed to embrace something new and risky, this gripped my heart.
What Nobody Should Know
Chris found this artist through following John Mark McMillan and it's one of those albums that will bring you to the present despite being so deep. This song is one that touches on so many hard things. Let's be real.
Any time I want to dispel the lie that I cannot be in the presence of God, I put this tune on. You'll see what I mean when you have a listen.
Let us then approach God's throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. - Hebrews 4:16 NIV
I get excited any time I find a new tidbit in the Bible about the Holy Spirit. He is such a quiet presence, yet so instrumental in my spiritual walk and the journey I have experienced with others.
The love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us…. God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. - Romans 5:5,8
As an artist, the way the poetry in this song describes the trinity, gets me. Though reflective, it is a pure and light song that has me being so grateful afterwards. Actually, the whole album is encouraging!
